How your information is handled.

Plain-language details on what I collect when you register interest, book a workshop or get in touch, and what I do with it.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to learnai.akhilsonthalia.com ("this website") and to information collected through related channels — including the interest, contact and newsletter forms on this website, Meta/Instagram/Facebook lead forms used for advertising, and direct messages or emails sent to AI by Akhil. This site is operated by Akhil Sonthalia, trading as AI by Akhil, based in Kolkata, India.

What information I collect

Depending on how you interact with AI by Akhil, I may collect:

  • Contact details — name, email address, and phone number, when you register interest for a workshop, join a waitlist, fill out a contact form, or submit a lead form on Instagram or Facebook.
  • Workshop preferences — which session you're interested in, and answers to any short qualifying questions asked in a registration or lead form.
  • Message content — anything you write in a contact form or direct message.
  • Basic website usage data — pages visited and general browsing behaviour, collected automatically via the Meta Pixel (see "Cookies and tracking" below) to measure how well ads are performing.

I do not knowingly collect financial information, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal data through this website.

How I use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry or registration.
  • To notify you when a workshop date is confirmed, and to send you the payment link before it's made public — since waitlist members get priority.
  • To provide the WhatsApp and email support included with a workshop booking.
  • To occasionally let you know about new workshops or sessions that may interest you.
  • To understand which ads and content are working, so future workshops reach the right people.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Where your information is stored

Depending on how you get in touch, your details may be stored in:

  • This website's hosting server (Hostinger) and Google Sheets — for workshop interest registrations, consulting enquiries and newsletter sign-ups made through the forms on this site.
  • Meta's Lead Center — if you submit an Instagram or Facebook lead form.
  • Formspree — which emails me a copy of anything submitted through this website's forms.
  • WhatsApp and email — for direct communication and post-workshop support.

These are established third-party services used to run a small workshop business — none of them are given permission to use your data for their own marketing.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tracking tool from Meta (Facebook/Instagram), to understand which ads bring visitors to the site and to measure ad performance. The Pixel may collect standard technical data such as pages visited and device/browser information. It does not collect your name, email, or phone number unless you separately submit that through a form. You can control ad tracking through your own Facebook or Instagram account settings, or through your browser's privacy controls.

How long I keep your information

I keep registration and contact details for as long as reasonably needed to run workshops, follow up on interest lists, and provide post-workshop support — typically no longer than a couple of years, unless you ask me to delete it sooner or stay in touch for future sessions.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to:

  • See what information I hold about you.
  • Correct any information that's inaccurate.
  • Delete your information from my records.
  • Stop receiving messages about future workshops.

Workshops for students

The "AI Superpowers for Students" session is designed for ages 12–16. Where a workshop involves a participant under 18, registration and communication should be handled by a parent or guardian, and I will only communicate with the parent/guardian's contact details provided at registration.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated occasionally as the business grows — for example, if new tools or booking systems are introduced. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
